Unable to login at developer.omniture.com

Omniture has some pretty cool developer resources located at developer.omniture.com. You’ll need your normal Omniture account in order to access the more interesting parts. Unfortunately not all customers are able to login at the site, and I am one of them :-(

It took some time to figure this one out, the problem appears because I’ve enabled Enforce IP Login Restrictions in the Admin Console. Apparently someone in Engineering or NetOps must have forgotten to IP whitelist some internal Omniture equipment. What makes this one really tricky is that access attempts can’t be found in the Usage & Access log in the Admin console.

Workarounds:

  • Don’t use the Enforce IP Login Restrictions feature in the Admin Console.
  • Add all Omniture IP addresses to your own whitelist in the Admin Console, a list of IP addresses can be found in Knowledgebase article ID 504

Update: This issue was fixed in the April 16 release (14.5)
