SiteCatalyst filter trouble

SiteCatalyst-filter-dialog The SiteCatalyst filter function got a much needed overhaul earlier this year. This did really improve the overall usability dramatically.

Nevertheless, the filter function still has a few quirks, certain characters simply can’t be filtered.
Try filtering the following:

| ? = &

After hitting the Go button, SiteCatalyst will change your filter into this funny stuff:

 {pipe} {questionmark} {equals} {ampersand}

Filtering something containing % is a bit different, as this will result in a javascript error.

But, there is a workaround, if you enter your filter information into the advanced filter editor, that’s the link named Filter Options, things will work as you would expect.

Update: According to Omniture this issue will be fixed as part of the 8/6 maintenance release.
